Question

Best Mouse for Photoshop

Last post on this subject was 2012.

I'm looking for some recommendations on buying a new mouse and am reaching out to this community.  There's lots of choices out there for gamers - are the features similar to using photoshop?  What specs should I be looking for?  I'm new to Photoshop and my existing mouse (inexpensive Logitech) has a lag delay and I'm finding it difficult to do the fine editing necessary for Photoshop.

Also, is there benefit to buying a mouse that has programming features?

Thanks in advance!

Bill

I usually avoid gaming hardware like the plague, but for the mouse I make an exception. Gaming mice are excellent for Photoshop - fast, high precision and with a lot of programmable buttons.

Most of them are also wired, not a coincidence, wireless just doesn't have the precision.

The most used shortcuts like copy, paste, undo can be programmed to separate buttons, but then you can also have buttons to control cursor speed and acceleration. Very useful.

See if you can find a store that has them on display. The feel and weight is important, and don't underestimate the sound of the click, especially if you work with other people.
