Black and white designated areas of color photo, printing with a "tint"

I am printing a color photo on a Canon Imageclass printer(color printer). In photoshop I selected an area of the photo and changed it to "black and white" in the adjustments panel. When I print, the Canon is making the black and white area "blue/blue tint". Can anyone help? Thanks.
