Black screen on opening Photoshop

Hi there, I have just come to use Photoshop CC 2018 and whenever I open an image a black screen is shown! despite the file saying it is open. Please help, I have tried to reinstall but still have the same problem.

Have you checked to see if you have the latest video grahics driver installed?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
