Blank Saved File ...

I have been using Photoshop for some years and the second time in two days I have gone back to use a recent PSD file to have it come up as an error and completely black file.

I am very vigilant and save as I go along, especially after 2 hours of processing to lose all that work is frustrating.

Any thoughts
