Blend If not working on a layer group

Using 25.0.0. If I apply Blend If settings to a layer group, nothing happens. For example, if I have a group of two layers - a hue/saturation layer and a curves layer and apply the Blend If settings to them individually, it works fine. But if I apply these to the Group, nothing happens.

I would like to just set these on the group so I don't need to adjust each layer.
