Blending removed part of image

Content Aware Fill is not a good choice in this instance, mainly because of the dreadlocks, but even without them, there is not an obvious transition to blend, which is what you found.  Generative Fill would be a better choice if it worked, but it is not that clever yet.  So that leaves you wiith a manual repair.

The Remove tool will get rid of most of the band, and the smudge tool will blend areas into each other.  Where you have areas of similar hue, but not tone, select them with Quick Mask, Feather the selection, and use Gaussian Blur to creat a smooth transition.  The dreadlocks are a problem so I copied one and used it to extend them upwards.  If you wanted to finish the effect, it would be great if you could give the apple full dreadlocks, but Generative Fill didn't come close when I tried it.  It's all good practice, and part of the fun of using Photoshop.

Open both images in Photoshop. Drag the image with the headband over the image of the apple. In the Layers panel, you’ll see both images on separate layers. Select the top layer (with the headband) and adjust its opacity. Lowering the opacity allows the bottom image to show through. Experiment with different opacity values until the headband blends naturally with the apple’s forehead. You can adjust the opacity by clicking on the layer’s opacity value and typing a new percentage or using keyboard shortcuts (e.g., press 5 for 50% opacity). Remember to use a soft brush to erase any hard edges around the headband. Quick Tip: To set opacity from the keyboard, press Shift + Number (e.g., Shift + 3 for 30% opacity).
