why does my laptop come up with the blue screen of death when i go on photoshop ho

According to Wikipedia this follows a »fatal system error«, so assuming you are using even a halfway current Photoshop version and OS version that would not be Photoshop’s fault.

Photoshop cannot crash a modern OS, it may seem like it does but really it is some other component like a low-level driver, faulty hardware, … that causes the issue.

Photoshop may just be the only application in use that makes the demands that reveal the problem.

Nonetheless, what have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Which version of Photoshop and OS and laptop spec?

Did you contact Microsoft with the Blue screen of death blue screen code like Watch Dog Error? To see if they can shed some light on the error code.... blue-screen-error-code
