Blur Gallery performance hit, and affecting entire file?
I am working on a file with a smart object that has a (fairly complex) path blur filter on it. I expect that to run a bit slow - it always does - but it's actually extremely slow to apply and is causing other issues.
If try to copy any layers from other files into the one with the smart object I get a massive lag. Spinning little wheel for something like 10-15 minutes - if it works at all. The new layers are not affecting the smart object (they are above it) but it seems like Pshop is redoing all the blur calculations in the background or something? Rasterizing the smart object or deleting the layer fixes the problem.
I have switched GPU usage from Advanced to Normal. Next step might be to disable it altogether - just wondering if anyone else is seeing this or if there might be a known issue?
Thanks /b
