Bounding box has disappeared

Today I lost the bounding box when trying to use free transform tool. I can still transform things but finding the location of the point is a tad annoying as the bounding box is gone. I do indeed have the "Show transform Controls" checked so it isn't that... any thoughts?

Thanks! It tried it twice, and then for the heck of it I tried a 3rd time and it finally worked!. Weird...
