Brand new laptop, PS CS6 freezing 'not responding' every time I load more than 10 small images.

I got a new laptop recently, it's an HP Pavilion 15-aw057nr with 12gb ram, CPU/graphics are AMD A10-9600P Radeon R5 and I'm using Photoshop CS6. I had zero problems on my old laptop with Photoshop, I could load upwards of 40 of these images (they are less than 30 kb each and 300x169) without much lag and that laptop (An HP beats) had HALF the specs this one has. I tried reformatting and reinstalling PS, I've tried upping my power settings for max performance, I've hard reset the laptop, uninstalled and reinstalled, NOTHING works. I am at my wits end over this! Every time I try to load more than ten of those small images into PS it freezes up and I have to end task, close it down, reopen it to continue working. It's driving me insane! Please help me!

(also thought I'd mention I even tried going into the preferences on PS and upping the memory there as well)

You need to update CS6 it is a very buggy version of Photoshop without its updates.

Were you running the same OS version on your old machine and did it have the same AMD hardware. Are all the system updates install on you HP are the device drivers up to date is CS6 up to date at version 13.01.3 and ACR version 9.1.1. If you post your CS6 system info we may be able to see something off in there.

The old computer had Windows 10 on it just like this one does and was up to date. It was AMD as well, but since it was a four-year-old computer the card wasn't nearly as fast as this one is. What is ACR? I'm not familiar with that. Here is the system info:
