breakdown orignal layers in my photo

my original image has multiple layers how do separate each of them to edit individually?

    Is your image still in a PSD or TIFF format with the layers intact?  Has it been flattened so that there is only one layer? If you are not sure, then open the image in Photoshop an take a screen shot with the layers panel showing, and paste to this thread.

    If you have Windows then you can get the screen grab by hitting the Print SCRN key if you have one. If you don't have that key, then use the Windows Snipping Tool.   To paste it here simple use Ctrl v.  No need to use the forum widget.

    Open the Layers Panel (Window menu > Layers) and select the Layer you want to edit.

    Just click on the layer you want to edit in the Layers panel?
