Brush ABR exceeds limit

Hello,

I have a .abr brush pack that on disc is 1.5GB.

When I try to import this into Photoshop I get a warning message that says:

The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved.

Is there a way to open the .abr file in another software or text editor to split it into multiple smaller brush packs that Photoshop can handle?

I have tried opening it in a text editor and get the same warning that the file size exeeds the limit.

I'm sure there must be a way I can open this file so I don't lose all my brushes?

All help and suggestions welcome!

Thank you

Hi Jeff,

I have version 24.2.0 and yes there were some brushes already loaded but not many.
Someone on my team was able to solve this - the brushes were on a shared disc space that had limitations to how much data could be downloaded at any one time.
Once the brushes were downloaded to my machine I was able to import them.
Thank you for your reply though, it's really great to have an active forum for people to support each other 🙂

What version of photoshop do you have?

It could be you have too many other brushes already loaded into photoshop.

If you do, try deleting those and then loading the 1.5 gb abr.
