Brush cursor went from circle to small cross and cannot

My cursor has change to a small cross in brush mode and I am trying to get it back to a circle.  The caps lock is not on and the Preference for Cursor is set for small brush.  Not sure why it has changed all of the sudden.   Sorry, I have seen this question asked on the Forum but did not find an answer that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

    I tried "Reset Preferences on Quit" and that did the trick.  Thank you

    I've seen other posts reporting the same thing recently, so it seems likely that it is a bug or issue, but probabl;y still a good idea to check Preferences > Cursors to make sure it has not somehow changed to Precise.  I think that resetting Preferences would change the cursor to the default 'Normal' though, so that is unlikely to be the answer.

     

    Which brings us to the list of known issues with recent versions and Sonoma and Ventura.  Are you using one of those?  The Known Issues help page only covers up to Mac 13.0.
