Question

Brush presets lost whenever I close the program

Less than a month ago I purchased the Photoshop pack and have been using the program and brush presets without issue. Two days ago I opened the program and all of my brushes were gone - ones I have purchased online and all of the ones I created in PS. I have reimported them at least 8 times and recreated some from image files I had saved. I had 4 Adobe support people sign on to my computer - with 4 different attempts to "fix" the problem. I thought the last one had actually done it but alas, I just opened the program and all the brushes were once again - gone.

The first support person mentioned that the newest version had a glitch with this and to install an earlier version. This person left the session without having a resolution or even saying see ya. The last person uninstalled PS and Bridge and then reinstalled it.  Is there a patch or something I can do to maintain presets and not have to reload them every day?

There might be a permissions issue (see link) and general trouble-shooting would not seem like a bad idea, but that would hopefully have been covered by the support people.

As for a glitch in 21.1.1 with a quick search on

I could not identify a Bug Report on this but you may want to re-install Photoshop CC 2019 and see if that works out better.

I think is was support person #3 when we did check the permissions - all users set for all access.

Support person #1 and #2 - installed cc2019 and and 2018 - none of them held the presets.

Re-loaded and re-created all brushes again today. I'm going to work as much as I can before closing the program. Thank you for responding!
