i reinstalled Photoshop and a new 10.12 on my mac

i use a Wacom intuous 5

now i have a big problem :

normally the combination

alt + ctrl + click   + dragging sideways in/decreased the size of my brush

this doesn't work anymore when i use my tablet pen  ( really strange thing from 50 tries it sometimes works )

when i use my mouse it works

i checked my Wacom/ Pen settings , cannot find an error .

When i use a Brush and paint on a white background table Pen and my Mouse work the same , but with this brush size trick

it doesn't work anymore .

I really don't understand this because the Mouseclick and the Penklick do the the same action for my understanding  .

can anybody help ?

thanks in advance

Simon

Wacom proudly told me that the problem is detailed in the release notes for the latest Driver.

So I checked - and it is listed:

There are two issues using modifiers on your keyboard along with the pen tip to perform a function:

    • If you use two modifier keys on your keyboard, the function will not work.
    • If you press a modifier on your keyboard and then press a pen button with a modifier assigned to it, the function will not work.

I told them they should look at removing the updated driver as these issues affect almost every single Wacom User - it isn't a minor hiccup - it's a major bug which renders the tablet unusable for many users.

The answer (as per other threads) is to uninstall the latest driver and reinstall the previous one.

    Drivers | Wacom

    You need 6.3.21-8.

Where do you get it? It is not available on the site anymore.

I went as far back as 6.3.16-2 and 6.3.19-3 and neither work.

Yes it seems to be a problem for Mac users Photoshop Shortcut use requires both  CMD and Option Keys on Windows the shortcut only requires the ALT Key the button on the Pen does not need to be set to a keyboard modifier key it need to be the the Mouse Right Click.
