Brush tool and finger zoom not working in Photoshop 23.1.1 on Windows

 PS version: 23.1.1

Microsoft Surface Pro 6

 

Hi there!

All functions were working properly, then out of the blue last night brush tool stopped working. 

then Zoom control using my fingers to pinch the screen and move around the art stopped working as well. 

I have graphics processing on and have tried resetting preferences and restarting Photoshop multiple times with no luck on getting these functions back. Super dissapointed, hoping someone can help?!

Hi,

 

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind telling us the version of Windows you're working on? Have you tried re-installing the app to check if that helps? If not, please try that to check if it makes a difference.

 

Also, please try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences
