Brush Tool not working

My brush tool will either stop drawing a continuous line, ie makes a dot then nothing, or it just won't draw all together. This is happening every 10 minutes or so and I have to completely restart the program, which only works about half the time to clear up the issue. I've updated to the latest version, tried reducing my file size and reset all preferences. Please help, I can't work without my brush.

Reset the Brush. Choose the Brush then right click on the brush in the upper left corner above the Tools and choose Reset Tool.

I've done that as well. I've also reset all the tools and reset the preferences for Photoshop. Still my brush won't paint anything. I've also noticed that my clone stamp won't work or the quick select tool.
