Brushes and workspace

I have 2 queries.. I posted a few days ago in photoshop cafe but didn't get any responses so hopefully you can help me...

I have been using CS6 for years and I love it.. but I have been paying monthly for CC for a few years and decided I needed to play in it..

1st Query - I was wondering if there is a limit for things like brushes or styles? recently my PC closed down for no apparent reason and I lost all my brushes and styles that were loaded.. I wondered if maybe I had overloaded.. 

2nd Query - I have been trying to get my head around CC2020 all afternoon.. I'm really starting to wonder if I will ever be comfortable in it.. when I open a transparent psd  {one I have removed the BG from} the image shows up in my navigator but the who large workspace is just showing as a white square..I have taken a screen shot and gone back to CS6 to paste and save it.. it's attached.. I'm sorry if I'm overdoing it by posting 2 queries at once
