Brushing works only one time!

Hi,

After the update, when I try to brush in a layer mask I can only do this one time. After that the image isn't updatet on screen. When I turn layers off and on again, the brush strokes I made that weren't visible reappeared. So it did make the strokes but it doesn't show.

Zooming doesn't redraw the missing strokes. Usage of GPU doesn't make a difference.

<edit - turning off Preferences > Performance > Legacy Compositing did solve this issue>
