Is it problems with my graphic card? How do I know?

    this is how it looks like. Today the pink color is gone but ps is buffering a lot when I use the brush..

    Don’t forget to restart Photoshop after turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings).

    Could you please post a screenshot to illustrate your problem?

    If the layer visibility is on, the mask turns red:

    Or you had an active selection and pressed Q to engage the Quick Mask mode. This will save with the file and reappear when the file is reopened.

    Which version of Photoshop and OS.

    Have you tried unticking Use Graphic Processor in Preferences?

    By the way, are you in Quick Mask Mode, that might account for the pink?

    Huh. That certainly looks like a video card glitch. That's not the red mask overlay. Laggy brush would indicate the same thing.

    Maybe you got a driver update through Windows Update? If so, a better idea is to go to the manufacturer's site (NVidia/AMD). They will probably have an even newer version (Windows Update is usually far behind).
