Burnt Square on one Layer

Hi Cory,
Thank you for your guidance, however, no luck after rolling back. I may just start over with the image but I'd still like to discover a possible fix for future reference and for anyone else out there. If you'd like to continue assisiting that would be nice. I'll save that version of the edit in case we get to the bottom of it.

Here is how to rollback to a previous version of Ps.

1. Open Creative Cloud

2. Click on All apps

3. Click on the three dots icon to the far right of the app

4. Scroll down to Other Versions, then select the one you want to rollback to.

Hi Cory,

I've updated my video driver and deactivated native canvas, neither worked, I made sure to restart my pc as well of course. I haven't tried rolling back my PS version, not sure how to. Creative Cloud isn't showing me any options in the updates section and I'm not sure if I'm looking through adobe correctly but I can't find it on here either. Am I looking in the wrong places?

Oh for what it's worth, I forgot to mention that you can see the burnt square in the layer preview as well. See attached.

Thank you @Michael23603762gsos for your sysinfo. One thing we see if your video driver is 5 months old, please update it and any other sys drivers, restart Ps and see if this continues.

Another thing to try is:
Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur? 

You could also rollback to Ps v23.3.2 and see if this solves this issue.
