Camera Raw filter not compatible with latest 19.1.1 version of Photoshop

I just downloaded the latest February 2018 version of Photoshop ver 19.1.1 and now am getting an error message when I try to access Camera Raw filter with any photo file  "Camera Raw filter is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"  Apparently a bug has crept into the works. This is a disaster for me as I use the Camera Raw filter all the time. Does anyone know if Adobe is fixing this ?

It would be a lot easier if someone marked the answer correct that says all you have to do is open the preferences for Camera Raw and then close it. No need to blow out all of the rest of your preferences.

I did what I read here, opened the preferences and closed them and now it works as designed.

That only works until you close Photoshop. When Photoshop is reopened the

error message re appears. It would appear the issue needs to be rectified

properly by Adobe.

So I see. And it is not possible to follow the same steps again. What a PITA.

It's a known problem and Adobe is working on it.

Have you tried to reload Camera raw by a manual install?
