Camera raw will always open a file twice over

Hi, I have a weird and annoying issue with camera raw and photoshop. When I open a RAW file from Bridge etc and edit it all cool - BUT if I open it in PS or click done, the file will open in PS (or close if I clicked done) and then camera raw will open the same file again which I then have to cancel before moving on into PS etc. Its not a huge issue but its just super annoying. I have looked and looked for some kind of obscure preference I have ticked but cannot see andy reference to this issue.

It happened in CC and still happens in CC19. Anyone have this happening? Any suggestions as how to stop it opening files twice?

Thanks!

Hi

The only way I could get that to happen was with two double clicks in Bridge. Are you using a pen and tablet ? If so, you may wish to check your tablet settings for what constitutes a double click.

davescm you are a legend! - it's my Wacom tablet. When I open files with my magic track pad, all is as it should be. Thank you.

I use a Wacom Intuos Pro on Winbdows,  In windows Control Panel Pen and Touch I disable Press and hold and in Wacon Preferences for Photoshop I turn off Pen double click distance. That may help you

That is not normal operation and you state it happens on you  in many version of Photoshop and camera Raw.  CC, CC 2014, CC 2015, CC 2015.5, CC 2017, CC 2018 and CC 2019 that is  ACR 8, ACR 9, ACR 10 and ACR 11.  Seven versions of Photoshop and four version of ACR. Six years...

What Platform do you use Mac or PC and how many OS versions between CC and CC 2019. Also  Which Photoshop Add On Plug-ins do to install into Photoshop.  Do you install any Script Manager Event handlers.

I would think if you have this problem with so many version of Photoshop and ACR it may  be a problem that is caused by something you add to Photoshop.
