Can not view thumbnail of PSD files from a CD-R came with a book

I can view thumbnail of my saved design in PSD format in Windows explorer but I rently purchased a book, edition November 2010, which came with PSD files on a CD-R. Unfortunately even saving on computer I can not view their thumbnail therefore, I got to open one by one.

I wonder if this is happening because the files on CD-R could have been created with an older version of Adobe software? Or if there is a way I can view thumbnail please reply.

Hi Mylenium, thank you for good suggestion. As I opened Bridge on the left it showed the thumbnail and details but I made a mistake and the view mode layout changed some how, though I can view the thumbnails of the PSD file but I wonder if there is a way to set back Bridge to default view mode?
