Question

Can Photoshop documents created with Photoshop CC be opened with Photoshop CS6?

I am contemplating getting the Photographer Package of the Adobe CC subscription. My question is, can folders created with Photoshop CC be opened later on, if needed with Photoshop CS6?

I have recently retire but I own many of the CS6 Adobe software, including Photoshop. I have most of my photography hobby work created with Photoshop CS6. If I get the annual subscription for now, but later on I can not sustain the cost and suspend my subscription, can I open the documents created with the CC version with my permanent version of CS6 I hae instaled in my desktop?

I understand some features may be lost, but in general, can the documents be open and functional for the most part?

Also, I haven't been able to find if the Phogrographe's pagage also includes Bridge, or if this app requires a different subscription plan.

Your help in providing some guidance or clarification on these questions, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You should be able to open PSD images in all Photoshop versions. If you take out the Photography Plan it will be a one year contract (at around $10 a month). But it includes Photoshop, and upgrades as they're released, plus Lightroom and Bridge and Cloud storage.

Check the system requirements - plenty of RAM and spare disk capacity.

And have fun!

Thanks Derek, that is very comforting to know.  I have one more question, and I am not sure if I should put it in a new post, or just add it to this. So I will add it to this thread for now.

Do you have any tips or experience to share on how to install PhSp CC, without affecting the installation and funcionality of PhSpCS6?  I want to leave that version fully functioning. Any issues or concerns at the time of installation of the CC version I should be aware?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry, but I don't know what PhSp CC is!
