Can't Bevel and Emboss this image

Hi Noah.  I don't what exact look you are going for, but the brush they used has given the graphic a very rough outline, and that is going to look a bit shite when you apply the B&E.  It also means that Remove Background is not going to work well, so Blend If would be a good way to go.  You can see how rough the oputline is.

If you try to use Bevel Emboss right after using Blend If, it will still apply to the white rectangle, but if you make the layer a Smart Object (by right clicking) B&E will then work as required.  However, like I said, the outline is not going to look nice

There are a couple of ways you can fix this if that's what you want. 

The easiest is to use Gausian Blur while it still has the white background, and then use Curves or Levels to firm the outline up again.  That gives you something like this after using Blend If.

Make the layer a Smart Object, and use Bevel & Emboss.

I usually prefer Eye Candy 7 for doing Bevel & Emboss.

It looks like the image has a white background. If you make the background transparent instead of white, the emboss should work.
