Can't deactivate CS3

Hi, need help. On my PC I have activated CS3, but, unfortunately my hard disc died and I didn't have chance to deactivate my CS3.

I have new hard disc but can activate my CS3.

How to activate my new CS3?

    CS3's activation servers were taken down.  You can neither activate or de-activate CS3 anymore. 

    You will need to uninstall your old CS3.  Get a replacement version and new serial number.  See correct answer below for details.

    Seriously, I spent $5,000 on Adobe software and they can't even leave activation servers up?  This is a hugely profitable corporation.  What's up with that?

    In Adobe's world, their profit forecasts depend on people buying upgrades (or, now, subscriptions). I don't say this is a good thing.
