Question

Can't download Photoshop brushes?

I recently updated Photoshop to a newer version so that I could group brushes instead of having them appear as a long list; because of this, I have had to delete several brushes so that I could re-download them and have them appear in groups automatically under their creator's names. However, now every time I try to download a brush pack, the files appear as a white page icon, which is apparently an ABR file; however, I cannot extract this file, nor can I double click it or drag it into Photoshop.

Is there a reason there downloading as these file types? Please help as its stopping me from being able to get on with work

Thank you.

Hi jordanbrooks,

Sorry that you cannot extract a .ABR file type and add them as brushes in Photoshop. Which version of Photoshop are you using? (To verify the version of Photoshop you're using : Choose Help > System Info.)

Do you see the .ABR file as a white unspecified file with all the brush packs you download? Or are you trying to import some the brush packs from a collection you've had stored on your computer?

Thanks,

Akash
