Hello, for some reason i cant drag and drop any image.

im running Windows 10 build 18362.535 and running photoshop 2020 21.0.2.

ive tried a couple of different methods from the internet with no luck such as making sure photshop isnt running in admin/ restarting and going into regedit and changing enableLUA from a one to a two.

thank you!

Drag and drop between applications is generally a bad habit that should be avoided. Very often that means you're  dragging thumbnails and proxy images, not the full original data. From Firefox, for instance, you get a bitmap .bmp file without color profile.

Dragging and dropping UI elements within the application is a different matter that should obviously work.

File > Open > navigate to your desktop. It's under your user account. Click "Open".

Or use Windows Explorer. Navigate to your desktop and double-click to open the file. You can use Bridge in the same way.

Can you be a little more specific please. For example, are you trying to drag an image from your desktop into Photoshop?
