Can't Import scanned images because of disk error?

Hello! I updated to Photoshop CC 2020 and restarted the computer and every time I tried to import a scanned image I get an alert saying could not open scan.jpeg because of a disk error. Any idea what gives? Thanks!

I am having the exact same issue.  This started with the recent Photoshop update.  My Mac is less than a year old and it has no hard disk problems.  Photoshop preferences will not allow me to change, alter or delete and rename my scratch disk so, for the people who are suggesting that remedy– forget it. I hope it is an error that Adobe will have an update-fix soon. Alex, please let me know, on this thread, if and when you find an answer.  I will do the same. Thanks for the post.  Your image is a perfect representation of the problem.
