can't install Photoshop on m1 macbook

i can't install photoshop on my m1max macbook. every time i open the .dmg file and click install nothing happens. how can the problem be solved?

Any modern version of Photoshop that can run on that hardware must be installed from Adobe Creative Cloud. No DMG would be accessible or used.

That can happen if the installer is for a version of Photoshop that is not compatible with Apple Silicon.

 

Try installing it through Creative Cloud Desktop.
