Can't load or create PhotoShop files.

I’m unable to load a psd or any previously created graphics file in PhotoShop let alone download one from some other source. In addition, ‘PhotoShop quit unexpectedly’ as well even when I begin to try to create a new graphic. As a senior on a fixed income who longer teaches computer graphics since the early 70s or has a design studio since the 60s I maintain my license for V12.1 x64 part of CS5 Extended. I am on a new MacBook Pro running under Mojave 10.14.6. This problem only began today for me. Graphics is pleasure now, no longer a mainstay of my life, but we old-timers need our pleasures.

    Hi

    Photoshop CS5 will run well on older operating systems. Try Ged's advice to try to make in work with Mojave. If not, your other option is to subscribe to the Photography plan or try Photoshop Elements. The annual plan, paid monthly, is $9.99 per month.

    New systems need new apps it’s oart of the Joy of Mac. Budget for it or don’t upgrade (nor buy a new Mac).

    Photoshop CS5 was platform dependant one version for  windows and one version for Mac OS X April 2010.  The was before Mojave and there have been many issues getting CS5 installed on High Sierra and Mojave you should search the web about issues with Mojave.
