Can't open any file both PS 2015 & 2017

Hi I can't open any file in Photoshop. Parallel installed the new version 2017, same problem. When trying to open any file, I do have a glitch then back to the recent files list. Both the new and the old version are behaving the same way. Other Adobe products like After Effects or Premiere work fine. Any idea what's happening with Photoshop? Thanks in advance.

hey thanks for your responses. However, after re-installing Photoshop 2017 the problem disappeared! ...it was a very strange behavior though, as I was not able to do anything (not evening opening existing PSDs) with both the old and the new version. It's working again out of nowhere.

Good News. As a Creative Cloud subscribee, I chatted with Arjun Kohli from CC in India and he took over my screen and helped me out in a timley manner. All my files were hiding (something new to me) to the left of the screen and I simple drug (dragged) them out. My bad. Arjun also added the Camera RAW plug in and that solved another problem opening jpeg files. Kudos to Adobe CC help desk.
