Can't safe TIF file as JPG

Question

I use PS to convert TIF files to JPG files. Up until today I would open the TIF file in PS and use Save As to save as a JPG file. Today I up updated to 22.5.1 and am running on Windows 10. When I click on Save As, JPG is not a listed file type. I might add that the TIF files were created by exporting in AI. The files are maps that I create.

The TIF file is 136 MB so I can't upload it. But I have not had a problem with this process in the past and I have done it more then 200 times with other maps.

Hi @Marcus1587

Use Save a Copy instead of Save as.

Alternatively, you can revert to the old behavior in Preferences. This was driven by a change in macOS.

Preferences > File Handling > File Saving Options:

Enable Legacy Save As
Do not append Copy to filename

Your tif most likely has layers, alpha channels, paths, or something that the jpg format can't save. So you need to either flatten the image and make sure all channels and other elements are removed, or do as Jane mentioned.
