Hello!

I had a question.. I encountered a situation the other day when I required that my plugin detect whether a jpeg image contained text in it. Also, can we detect whether an image is vector or not? Is there a way we can do that? Pls help fellas..!! I couldn't find much info about it.. I am working on Photoshop CS 5.

Thanks!

Correct answer Chris Cox

If it is JPEG, then it contains no layers and no vectors.

The only way to detect text in a JPEG images is through OCR.
