Question

Can you reverse foreground image without affecting background?

Hi, I am working on a video, premiere pro, and I have an image I'm using that I'd really like the person to be facing the other direction. Using horizontal transform makes the entire image reverse, and that looks weird since she's standing in front of a house. I've been trying to find a tutorial to do this, but can't find one for photoshop or premiere pro. Any suggestions?

As you're in the Photoshop forum, I assume you're taking about a still image, not a movie.

To undertake your task on a still image would be difficult and take some skill - you would need to cut the figure out of the pic and put it on a separate Layer and reverse it, left to right. You would then need to paint back in the background where bits of it are missing due to the cutout figure (the Clone Stamp tool might be helpful for doing this). Maybe you could experiment by making the figure a little larger to overlap some of the missing backround. When you've finished Save it as a JPG, which would flatten it, but keep your Layered PSD file in case you have to do further work in the image.
