Cannot Highlight Text In Grayscale Mode 2021

Photoshop 2021 on Mac (Catalina 10.15.7) I cannot HIGHLIGHT Text (in Text Layers) in Grayscale or Black & White Mode .... Yes I can edit the text Invisibly and change attributes such as Leading, Spacing etc.. but cannot SEE what would normally be Highlighted Like in RGB or CMYK Modes. Editing Text & Grayscale Documents worked Fine In Previous Versions a couple weeks ago with v21.2.4.
