Cannot load color profile (greyed out)

I am trying to load an .icc color profile from my lab, but when I can't select it: it's greyed out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. All other profiles in there are also greyed out.

I copied the .icc file to Library > ColorSync > Profiles. When in PS, I go to Edit > Color Settings > Load. If I try to load the profile via View > Proof Setup > Custom > Load, I have the same problem.

I'm on a deadline and need to soft proof, so any help is greatly appreciated.

MacPro, MacOs Sierra 10.12.6, PS CC 2018

Thanks!

»Load« in the Colour Settings refers to settings (csf), not individual ICC profiles.

Those should be managed with the OS/Color Sync.

When you click the pop-up (RGB or CMYK depending on the profile) is the profile not on the list?
