Cannot ..... "Program Issues" CC2021

Since the middle of December 2020 I've been continually getting "cannot .... because of program issues".  The .... is representative of many different actions; cannot merge layers, save, create clipping mask and more.

So, I've looked through the community post here and this seems to be an ongoing issue with no obvious solution ( at least to my search time limitations ) other than a work around of turning visibility to all layers off and saving that way.

My job is very time oriented and turnaround has been taking a hit because of this. Anyone at Adobe Creative working dilligently on this? I've used photoshop professionally for over 4 years now and never had such an issue last this long.

 Help 🙂

I have the same issue, I cannot merge a clipping mask layer with the layer it is clipped to.  It makes the subscription feel frustratingly basic for the price if you do this action often.  I have tried workarounds and nothing has worked and end up scrapping the whole piece in frustration.

Use Photoshop 2020 version 21.2.4 till Adobe addresses the issues in Photoshop 2021. Why shoot yourself in your foot relieve your pain use 21.2.4.  I'm sure Adobe will be fixing the major issues in Photoshop. When will Adobe have 2021 fixed nobody knows. I have had issues with every version of Photoshop I have installed after CS3.  I think the only version  I did not install was CS4. All versions of Photoshop have bugs. Most complex application and systems have bugs.  Humans write the code.  Humans are  are far from perfect.

Understandable that human error exist, but I run a company as well... if I release a product (especially if I'm a multimillion dollar company) I expect that product to meet expectation. If it does not I work dilligently to correct it. Thanks for your feedback. I'll revert to an old version.
