Question

Cannot save File in PS (Mac Ventura) because error message says it is locked

I just downloaded  the new PS as a trial, and it is a big tiral!
I am working on a PSD file and as I make changes to it, I hit Save . Then an error message pops up that it cannot be saved because it is locked (the layer is unlocked) or I don't have permission.  WHy?  . This is a hassle.  In previous versions of PS , I could just hit Save or Save AS.

How can I modify PHotoship to allow psd files be saved under the same name while I am working on them?

Where are you trying to save the file? Is it local on your hard drive or on a shared drive?

I. am saving to an external hard drive. It is not shared by anyone. But
just now I tried Settings >Security and Privacy>Allow Disc Access. I
chose Photoshop. So far it seems to be saving without that error message.
We'll see if that solves it....I'll only know for sure at 3 am in the
morning 🙂 when things usually go haywire.

That should solve it. I removed your personal information - you don't want any personal info included in your messages like email, address, phone number, etc.
