cant open as .nef as sequence

Edit: issue resolved needed to export to another file format first. My open as sequence box is greyed out. I wanted to make a timelapse of these. Are .nef incompatible for that or am I missing something else?

Try using menu File>Scripts>Load Files into  Stack...  select your RAW .nef Files to load your images into a stack of image layers. Create a frame animation time line.  Then use  the fly-out menu  Make frames from layers.  Then menu File>Export>Render Video...  to export you image sequence

    NEF files are raw files. You need to convert these to TIFF or JPEG first. You can't open raw files as sequence.
