Hi all

Can anyone help me. I'm trying to save a file but when doing so it says files must be saved as a copy with the 'layers' box checked but I can't click on the check button. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Thank you!

A jpeg file can not have layers, so if you save as a jpeg you can't check the option for layers.

Hi,

As per the screen shot, "File must be save as a copy with this selection" is a warning. That's why checkbox for "As a copy" is by default checked and disabled. You cannot uncheck this checkbox, because it should be saved as a copy only. But you can save the file on click of Save button.  See screenshot for the same.

It is just warning while you are trying to save in JPEG format.

Are you getting any error while Saving the document using Save button?

Best regards

Hello and thank you for your reply!

From the screenshot I take it that I must click the 'layers' button (the ! in the yellow triange) but I am unable to click on the layers button. So if I just save it as it is without the layer sbutton ticked when I try to use the saved jpg image I get notice that the file is corrupt.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Well as far as I know, when we export into JPEG, that "Layers" checkbox is disabled. For the error issue could you please provide following information

1. Share the file?

2. Did you try same procesure with another file?

3. Error alert message or screenshot.

Best regards
