CC 2014 crashes when using "Save for Web"

I transferred CC to my new laptop, but now whenever I try to "Save for Web", PS will crash after I press save (after finding the file save location).

I have deleted the "Save for Web" files in the Preferences file as suggested elsewhere and there has been no change.

Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?

    When you say "transferred" does that mean you copied cc 2014 from a backup or you installed a fresh copy of cc 2014?

    Transferring from backup never works for adobe applications, since adobe installs files all over the drive and it's near impossible to copy all of it over to another drive.

    Also, you don't have to stay with cc 2014, but could upgrade to cc 2017 or cc 2018 using the creative cloud desktop application.
