Hi!

Is there some new way to define a brush preset?

    to keep it simple do it with the pencil tool


    solved. corrupt brushes preference file.

    I’m not saying I can’t use one I created.

    im saying I can’t create one. I can use custom

    brushes I imported from 2018 version.

    can you try to actually create a new pencil tool brush frkma custom shape?

    Just to rule it out, can you create other kinds of presets besides brushes? Gradients, swatches, etc.?

      is not working, thats precisely what im saying.

    Ah, OK.

    Does it not perform the command at all? Defining a brush requires the image being used have some sort of grayscale equivalence. (I think I'm wording that right.) e.g., An image that contains black will appear white in the brush and vice versa.

    Do you want to just save the brush? With the Brushes panel open > click the options menu (in the upper right) > New Brush Preset.

    apologies. no, im not describing the problem correctly.

    I have selected a shape with my lasso tool, in black and would like to define the shape as a brush.

    that option isnt possible in the 2019 version for some reason
