Certain brushes started lagging - Photoshop 2020 Wacom Intuos Pro Medium

Hello everyone

I have an issue with certain brushes I downloaded for Photoshop. Everything was normal and running smoothly and then suddenly certain brushes started lagging with each brushstroke. Also, full pressure was applied without me doing anything, it feels like painting with the mouse.

I am not sure if I accidentally clicked/changed something, not sure if it is a tablet or PS issue. I have tried deleting and reinstalling PS, updating the tablet's drivers, deleting the brushes and importing them again but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

I'm currently working on PS 2020 and the tablet is a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium.

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the lag issue, could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

You may also try enabling "Legacy compositing" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps.

Sahil

Hey Sahil,

Thank you very much for your advice, I followed the first step and everything's back to normal now, no lagging whatsoever.

Thanks for taking the time to help
