i recently upgraded to cc2017 and certain filters that before worked on smart objects with no problem , no longer work.I included screenshots.

when I rasterize my layer, the filters become available. Before in 2015 version I never had a problem with those same filters on smart objects

Well, as you can see on my screenshot, it does work in 2015.the screenshot of mine you see , is a 2015 version.Everything always worked fine , working on a 8 bit image .All filters always worked before.Even now when I startup 2015 version, it works.i startup the 2017  version , it does not.And it is not the blur in particular I talk about, as you can see in my screenshots a bit higher, multiple filters are grey out in the 2017 version, that are available fine in the 2015 version, wich I also posted a screenshot of.

Sounds as thou in photoshop cc 2015 you probably ran the EnableAllPluginsForSmartFilters.jsx from the photoshop ScriptingListener plugin download.

I have Photoshop all the way back to 2014 on my computer and lens blur doesn't work on a smart objects in either 2014, 2015 (as you can see below) or any other version that I tested.

I think you might be mistaken and Lens Blur did not work on Smart Objects in previous versions either.

Do you have a file that proves It did?
