Change backgroundcolor scanned jpeg

Hi everyone,

I'm learning photoshop/indesign basics. I just made some drawings and had them scanned to jpegs (tiff not possible). Now I want to transfer them to indesign to make a small booklet. The paper I made my drawings on is yellow-ish. Is it possible to change only the background color to a standard white, so that all the pages have the samen background color? I already played with contrast etc but then the colors in the drawings change too much...

I also wonder, if I choose a nice paper for my booklet (a bit thicker, broken white), how will this work then with printing? Since I colorprint, will the backgroundcolor automatically print the 'jpegwhite background color' onto this printing paper?

I know I miss a lot of basic knowledge, but since I said Im learning..  Thanks a lot for your help!!

Anna
