Change I change the size of an elliptical marquee selection?

I need some round photos. I'm creating them by using the elliptical marquee to select the area I want from rectangular photos. Usually that means drawing out the circle then moving it around a bit to find the framing I like the best. Can I change the size of that selection after I've released the mouse?

Another option is to use the Ellipse Tool (U) to draw a vector mask path. The advantage of this is you can edit the path in any way you like after creating it.

I think JJMack gave you the best answer to your specific question, but just to add to the thread for future readers:

Elliptical marquees are the trickiest because it's hard to figure out where to start. Did you know that you can hold the spacebar down while you are still dragging out the marquee to reposition it, then let go of the spacebar and finish drawing? Just keep the mouse button down the entire time. With this technique you have a much better chance of drawing it correctly.

Thank you both. Now: is there a quick way to crop square to my (now perfect) circle?

Keep the marching ants on your perfect circle, and pick Image > Crop. It will crop to the section boundaries.
