Changing the font weight doen't always work

Recently I've been experiencing an annoying bug.

When I select a portion of my text and try to change the font style to a diferent option (regular to bold, for example), nothing happens. The text simply stays the same. I need to keep trying until it works.

No need to say that this is not how it should work.
