Changing tool while maintaining same brush tip and settings

Nice improvement in the latest version with the brushes (v19), especially better display. Now brushes behave more like tool preset.

I'm trying to figure out a way to duplicate an existing brush and associate it with a different tool (say stamp tool or eraser) any tips on that?

When I load a brush that I have created (textured tip) and change the tool from brush to stamp all the settings and brush tip change.
